CKG Services in East Jakarta Integrated with TB Screening

The Free Health Check (CKG) service in East Jakarta is now integrated with tuberculosis (TB) screening. This service integration is one way to accelerate case detection, prevent transmission, and strengthen TB control in East Jakarta.

Expand the benefits of CKG services

Head of East Jakarta Health Sub-agency, Arief Wahyudhy said the implementation of integrated TB screening with CKG services has begun since July 23, 2026.

The program was initiated in Malaka Jaya Urban Village, Duren Sawit District, and Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara District.

This service integration was carried out because TB prevention and control efforts require acceleration in case detection, close contact tracing, provision of preventive therapy, and education to the community.

"This activity also aims to expand the benefits of CKG services to the community. Furthermore, it establishes networks and cross-sectoral engagement to achieve TB control targets in the region," he said.

He added ease of access to services, fast inspection processes, and free services have also increased public interest in participating.

Based on the targets set by the Ministry of Health, the East Jakarta region is targeted to carry out screening at 778 locations with a target number of 77,800 participants.

"Each implementation location has a screening target of 100 people," he added.

The primary target group for this activity includes household contacts and close contacts of TB cases. Targets can also be expanded to populations or groups at high risk for TB.

He explained that the CKG service has now been integrated with several other TB control services. This integration includes TB symptom screening within the CKG service, TB diagnostic testing, identification of household and close contacts, and screening of high-risk groups.

Furthermore, integration includes health education and promotion, as well as recording and reporting. This step is expected to enable the public to receive more comprehensive health services in a single visit.

"We strive to ensure that the service remains fast, comfortable and of high quality even though the number of participants continues to increase," he admitted.
